Life in your retired and active years offers more new experiences than you can shake a stick at.

But beware of The Peter Principle – allowing the few things you have to do to now retired to fill all your new-found time and absorb your energy. It can happen before you know it.

Opportunities that were previously way beyond your reach are now possible. They represent:

  • New challenges – from learning a new skill to using your previous work-place skills in new ways
  • Ways to be salt and light – to make your Christian life have the impact Jesus spoke about
  • Spiritual growth – taking time to nourish your spiritual life and enlarge your horizons

To keep track of what others like you are doing to grab the opportunities before them, do please join our Facebook group and Sign Up to our blog.

The word retirement is not even in the Bible. What is taught in scripture is transition. There is nothing that says you work most of your life and then get to be selfish for the next 20 years"
