There are opportunities, like never before, to use your time and talents for the good of others around the world.

This may be about changing the lives of poor communities, or supporting those who are seeking to bring hope and healing.

This can involve –

  • Volunteering here in the UK: There are agencies ready to use your skills and concerns to advance their work – by generating more support, sharing news of their cause or offering your time and skills to increase their impact.
  • Going there – where you can make a hands-on contribution. Be it for a short visit, to a few months, or longer.

Whatever may be right for you, there is a mass of help at hand to help you evaluate what would be the best match. And to work out all the details.

The word retirement is not even in the Bible. What is taught in scripture is transition. There is nothing that says you work most of your life and then get to be selfish for the next 20 years"
